In one sentence: the Imago apps do not collect or transmit any personal information, and contain no advertising or analytics SDK. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
None. We do not collect, request or store any personally identifiable information, including but not limited to name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifiers or usage records. The apps have no account system and no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking components.
The core features — 3D visualization, demonstration animation, structure editing and generation, lesson planning and decks — run entirely on your device and do not need a network connection. The apps do not send data to us or to any third-party server while running. If you enable iCloud or another system-level backup, that backup is handled by Apple under its privacy policy and is unrelated to us.
The app accesses only the file or folder you explicitly choose when you open, import, export or save. It does not scan your disk or read files you have not selected. The macOS editions run in the App Sandbox; the iPad editions follow the iOS/iPadOS document-picker permission model.
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store, and payment information is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment information; we only receive Apple's aggregate sales data, which does not identify individuals.
These apps are classroom tools for teachers. Because we collect no information from anyone, we also collect no information from children.
The apps include several open-source components (such as Mol*, three.js and JSXGraph). They are bundled with the app, run locally, do not connect to the network and do not collect data.
